How it works

  1. Your credentialsPartlane runs on your machine and signs in to your own SiliconExpert contract. Nothing is sent to Prime EDA.
  2. Your fieldsYou decide which SiliconExpert values land on which Altium parameter, and which of them are worth fetching at all.

How this differs from the built-in integration

Altium sells its own SiliconExpert extension, and for teams without a SiliconExpert contract that is the right answer. Partlane is for the teams that already have one.

What Partlane does not do

  • ×No cloud. It runs locally and sends nothing to us. Your component data never leaves your company.
  • ×No silent writes. Every change is proposed, approved and logged, and can be undone.
  • ×No borrowed contract. It runs on your SiliconExpert credentials, never on ours.
  • ×No second tool to learn. It fills your Altium library; it does not build another screen inside Altium.

Questions we get

We already have the SiliconExpert integration in Altium.
Then you are paying Altium per part, on top of your own SiliconExpert contract, and the data stays in Altium's panels. Partlane uses the contract you already have and writes into your own library and database.
Does Prime EDA get to see our data?
No. Partlane runs on your machine, on your credentials, and sends nothing to us. During a pilot we look at your screen, not at your data.
Our IT does not install unknown software.
Fair. It is a signed Windows application that runs locally and needs no server, no inbound connection and no admin rights beyond installation. We provide a one-page security summary for your IT department.
It writes into our component library. What if it goes wrong?
Nothing is written without your approval, every change is recorded, and any run can be reversed with the log it left behind.
You are a small company. What if you stop?
Then you keep what you have: our contract gives you a perpetual licence and the source code if Prime EDA ever stops supporting it.

Already paying for SiliconExpert?

Then the data is yours already. We are running Partlane with a small number of customers first, one month at a time, so we can see how it behaves in a real library before anyone commits to anything.
